Chief Financial Officer
Richard B. Slansky is a senior financial executive with more than 30 years of experience as President and/or Chief Financial Officer in high technology and biotechnology companies. His career spans public and private organizations, from pre-revenue to commercial stage. He currently serves as CFO of Genenta Science, where he partnered with the Chief Executive Officer, led the Company through its NASDAQ IPO, built a world-class financial function, and developed the internal control and compliance infrastructure required of public market companies.
Prior to Genenta, Mr. Slansky held CFO roles at Biological Dynamics, OncoSec Medical, GenMark Diagnostics (now part of Roche), and C-N Biosciences (now part of Merck), with a track record that includes raising over $500 million in public equity and debt offerings, driving strategic planning, and managing complex operational teams.
He also served as President & CFO of Nautronix and SpaceDev. Through his leadership at Nautronix, now a division of L3 Communications, he further expanded his expertise in advanced defense electronics and mission-critical systems. SpaceDev was a publicly listed company developing spacecraft and hybrid propulsion systems for NASA, USAF, JPL, and other leading government agencies. He also led the effort to grow and later sell SpaceDev to Sierra Nevada Corporation. Since 2014, he has served as Chairman of the Board of Parabilis Space Technologies, a propulsion and space systems solutions provider, reflecting his continued active engagement in the space ecosystem.
Mr. Slansky serves on the Board of Directors of several private companies, including Nuclear RNA Networks, an early-stage RNA gene transcription therapeutics company. Mr. Slansky holds a BS in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the Eller School at the University of Arizona.
